Why Hasslehub

An app that does the thinking for both sides.

Every other task app makes you write a perfect request and hope your helper figures it out. We don't.

For Task Posters

Just say what you need.

No more guessing what details to include or whether you priced it right. Describe your task however you'd describe it to a friend — Hasslehub handles the rest.

  • Plain-English requests Talk like a human, not a form. Photos help, but they're optional.
  • Smart task breakdown Big jobs get split into clear sub-tasks so nothing slips through.
  • Fair price suggestions See what similar tasks have cost nearby so you set a price that gets matched.
  • Active task management Reminders, scheduling, follow-ups — handled in the background so you can move on.
For Hubbers

Show up ready.

No more "wait, what did they actually want?" or showing up without the right tools. Every task you accept comes pre-briefed.

  • Clear scope, every time What needs doing, where, and how long it should take — before you accept.
  • Tool & supply checklist Know exactly what to bring so you finish the job in one trip.
  • Skill-matched jobs Only see tasks that fit your verified skills, location, and availability.
  • Higher completion rate Better prep means happier customers, better reviews, and more repeat work.

How it works

Describe it. Hasslehub handles it. Done.

Four steps. No phone tag. No "let me get back to you next week."

01

Describe your task

Tell us what you need in plain English. Photos optional. About a minute.

02

We break it down

Hasslehub scopes the job, suggests a fair price, and writes a brief for your Hubber.

03

Get matched

A verified Hubber nearby accepts. They arrive with the right tools, already briefed.

04

Job done. Payment released.

Track progress and message your Hubber along the way. Their payment is already secured in escrow, and releases to them the moment the job's confirmed done.

Trust first

Know exactly who's
showing up.

Letting someone into your home or relying on them for something important is a real ask. We don't take it lightly.

Verified Hubbers

Every Hubber passes ID verification and a background check before they take a single task.

Payments held in escrow

As soon as a Hubber accepts, your payment is charged and held securely in escrow — then released to them once you confirm the job's done. Protection for you, and reliable payment for them.

Before & after photos

Every task wraps with before & after photos — a clear, shared record that protects both you and your Hubber.

Reviews from real neighbors

Ratings on punctuality, quality, and communication — not just star counts. From people who actually live near you.

$

Fair price suggestions. No surprises.

Hasslehub looks at similar tasks nearby and recommends a fair price. You decide. Hubbers accept or counter. You see the total before you book — no subscriptions, no hidden fees.

Simple as that.

Questions

Things people ask us.

How does Hasslehub actually work? +
You describe what you need in plain English — like you'd tell a friend. Hasslehub takes that and turns it into a clear task brief: what's involved, how long it should take, and a fair price based on similar tasks nearby. For your Hubber, it generates a prep summary — scope, tool checklist, skill level — so they show up ready instead of having to ask a dozen questions. Reminders, scheduling, and follow-ups are handled in the background.
When is Hasslehub launching? +
We're in private beta right now, testing with a small group in Austin. Public launch is coming soon — waitlist members get early access first, in order of signup and by neighborhood demand.
How does pricing work? +
Hasslehub suggests a fair price based on similar tasks nearby. Task Posters can accept the suggestion or set their own. Hubbers can accept or counter. You see the full total before you book. Your card is charged once a Hubber accepts, held securely in escrow, and released to them the moment you confirm the job's done. No subscriptions, no hidden platform fees.
Is it actually safe to have a Hubber help with my stuff? +
Every Hubber is ID-verified and passes a background check before they can accept their first task. You see their full review history, completed jobs, and verification badges before you book. Photo proof and in-app messaging keep everything documented.
I want to be a Hubber — what's required? +
Be 18+, pass ID and background verification, and bring a reliable attitude. You set your own rates, your own hours, and the kinds of tasks you'll take. Toggle to "I want to be a Hubber" in the waitlist form below to get on the early-access list.
What's different about Hasslehub vs. TaskRabbit or Thumbtack? +
Other platforms make you fill out detailed forms and hope your helper figures it out from there. Hasslehub translates plain-English requests into clear task briefs for both sides — so Task Posters don't have to be perfect requesters, and Hubbers don't show up unprepared. We're also going hyper-local in Austin first instead of being spread thin across the country.
What kinds of tasks can I post? +
Pretty much anything legal and reasonable — assembly, cleaning, moving help, errands, handy fixes, yard work, tech setup, pet care, the works. If a real human can do it in a few hours, post it.
